Sooooo if you're into Christian music at all, I'd just like to say, go to CREATIONFEST!!! In PA, i didn't go, but like fifty of my friends did and they all said it was awesome! So like Chris Tomlin, Casting Crowns, Hawk Nelson, Barlow Girl and so many other bands we're there and you get to meet some of them too! It's so cool, i'm gonna see if i can go next year, i think my youth group will go.

Also, I know this isn't Christian at all but you gotta be up to date on this too, my fave band, Callahan, is going to go out and watch the warped tour to hang out with ppl and i wish i could go really badly, but I can't cuz i'm busy doing better stuff for me. Plus i heard there is drinking and parting and probably drugs which isn't a great place for a person like me to be in anyways, so it probably wouldn't be as fun, plus they aren't performing....

I narrowed down my top few bands that i do really like now...in no order:::::

Capital Lights
Callahan (from Springfield, OH)
Forever the Sickest Kids
Divided By Friday
Hawk Nelson
Lights Out Dancing
Lifehouse
OVU Express
Relient K

that's bout it, but they are all pretty cool. xD

more bands i like.

Well I've been continuing my search for bands and I've found a few new ones. They all have myspace I think, but I use a different website to listen to them.
From ok to best:
Better Than Toast
Cute Is What We Aim For
Show Me The Skyline
What Katie Said Last Night
The Unlikely Candidates
Callahan
Lights Out Dancing
Divided By Friday

Divided By Friday is the best, not only because it's Christian but becasue I like the sound. And there is a funny story about Lights Out Dancing. I went to go see my friends play at this coffee joint and there was this other band who was playing another show sometime soon, and they are like "Lights Out Dancing will be there!" And I was like ohhh I want to go! But I couldn't because it was a Tuesday or something. But nobody hears of these bands and then other bands talk about them, and you're really excited because they know bands you like. It's fun. xD.

express.

EXPRESS!!!!!!!! Okay, not many people have really heard of this group, but they should. Express is an a capella singing group that is from Ohio Valley University. The group is made up of six college kids, who all attend OVU, or previously known as OVC. The members usually change by year, but some are able to stay all four years, others only make it once. You have to audition to get in. They sing contempary Christian, hymns, and other inspirational songs. The group also usually records a hilarious bonas track filled with random conversations and laughter. Now, I could just sit here and talk for hours about the group and how good they are, but that's biast. So, just check out there website, http://www.ovu.edu/base.cfm?page_id=942, and watch some videos on Youtube, just to get a taste of there music. Then, you may be inspired to purchase a CD, perhaps. If, not, if you can attend one of there concerts at Camp Manatawny, then you will fall in love with them, just like I did!! I have almost all of their CDs. And I have attended almost ten shows performed over the past four years by the group.

This pic is of the 2007-2008 group*:

from the left: Stephen Givens, Cody Balch, Connie Hopkins, Kaci Milleson, Robbin Guirantes, Leachelle Smith, Megan Jacoby, and the sound engineer-- Phil Minor. *Note: This group had seven, but the norm is six.

This group, I just have to say, is AMAZING! They work so hard to produce great music around there families and tight schedules at home. The music, if you have not listened to it, is great inspirational music that will put you in a mood that wants to repent and/or praise God. It's a great way to worship Him. Also, one of there older songs was in a movie, Facing the Giants. Check out some of there tunes at: http://www.castingcrowns.com/site.php.

ffh.

I have listened to FFH forever. I mean since I was like 11 years old, I have been singing it in the car on my way to school, that and veggie tales, yes my sisters and I loved veggie tales! Well, now that I've grown (a little bit) I've learned the songs' true meanings and purpose. And still, I listen to FFH on my headphones singing along (I know like EVERY WORD) to the music, enjoying every minute of it.

The band is sorta contempary, kinda country styled, and pretty soft, for the most part (not your heavy metal head bangin band). They do rock though, just not hard.

My fave FFH albums: Have I Ever Told You (2001), Ready To Fly (2003), Still the Cross (2004)

My Fave FFH songs: (i have too many to put on here, so i'll put a few) From Have I Ever Told You: "Fly Away," "Astronaut," and "Millionare;" From Ready To Fly: "Ready To Fly," "I'll Join the Rocks," and "Never Gonna Be Alone;" From Still the Cross: "You Drive I'll Ride," "Still the Cross," and "All part of the Walk."

About FFH: Why "FFH" and not YGR because "FFH" means: "Far From Home." Why they did not use "Far From Home," because another Christian band in Cali (I think) had the same name, but were before them, so deciding not to use the same name, they named it "FFH."

So, now you know all about FFH, and for more info about them just check out: http://www.ffh.net/.
Here they have chat boards, videos and music you can listen to. So if you would like to praise God with all your heart, pick up FFH, I'm sure you'll enjoy it! Peace.
